The last of my sample cards from Giggle Greetings

There is one stamp left in the set that I have not used because I just am at a stand still From Millan.Net on how I would use it,  maybe the next time I pull the set out?

Sets:  Giggle Greetings and Tape it (a stamp set to make your own Wasabi tape type "stuff").

Paper: Tempting Turquoise, Pumpkin Pie, Polka-dot Parade and Whispher White

Inks: Temping Turquoise, Pumpkin Pie, Real
Red  and Daffodil Delight

Accesorries: Dazzling Details, Blender Pen, Candy Dot and Candy Dots brad builders.

PS: I know the sentiment looks crooked but I tried and tried to get to be straight, but I truely believe the they sentiments were meant to be crooked, just like the "joking" sentiment of the set itself.

Hey Stampers...I'm Back~~~

Hello Yappin' Stamper's~

I was in Cali last week for an extended weekend visiting family and my new Granddaughter, Lily.

It was great fun as my friend went with me on this fast and furious road trip!!!  Not only fast in the small number of days we were there but also, apparently, fast on the freeway as got a speeding ticket. Yeppers! I got a speeding ticket....boo-hoo
 From Millan.Net From Millan.Net !!!

Well, this trip I didn't make any cards or do any stamping but I did bring along some supplies.  Besides feeling the need for speed on the trip, I was feeling a need to stamp this weekend.  I again turned to the Giggle Greetings set and came up with a couple of "silly" birthday cards.

I can only think of one person who might get a kick out the cat card but I got a "giggle" out of making it.

Sets:  Giggle Greetings and C is for Cat (retired)

Paper: Island Indigo, More Mustard and Whispher White

Ink: Black Stazon, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Island Indigo and Real Red

Accessories: Blender pen, Crystal Effects, Island Indigo Ruffled Stretch Ribbon and Red Sticky Tape

Meow, hope you get a kick out of this card.

Thanks for Yappin' about Stampin' with me.

Last weekend was absolutely the perfect Oregon summer day!

The temps had finally come down to a reasonable level for enjoying some yard and garden From Millan.Net time on Saturday and again on Sunday morning but in the afternoon I retreated to the "Stampin' Studio" for some fun card makin' time.

Since summer was/is in the air and there are sooo many great fruits and veggies available every where.... which was my inspiration to make a card with the set "Giggly Greetings."

I really wanted to use the wonderful juicy bowl of cherries stamp.  I had hoped the versamark pen and clear embossing powder would have shown up better in the pic as it highlighted the shiny bowl and
made the cherries look ready to eat.

We all know the saying similar to this one... " Sometimes life is just a bowl of Cherries... etc."  but I didn't want to use the sentiment "and some times it is the pits" so I made this card to focus on the positive happiness of fresh crisp cherries .... like a birthday:

SETS:  Giggly Greetings, Tape It and Sweet Scoops (Retired, small cherry inside)

PAPER: Cherry Cobbler, Bermuda Bay,  and Whispher White

INKS:  Cherry Cobbler, Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry and
Stazon Black

ACCESSORIES:  Blender Pen, Versamark Pen (retired?), clear embossing powder.  Large circle punch, Bigz Die Circles and Bigz Die and printer.

TECH: Making, sponging and blending

Once again I have honorably been asked to make a card for a special occassion....

My cousin sent me a message asking me if I would make a card for him to give to his wife on their upcoming 4th anniversary.... what could I say to a challenge? From Millan.Net   From Millan.Net  and  From Millan.Net !!!

I don't know his wife (they live across the country from me), but have seen a few pictures her.  So, I asked a few questions about her likes in colors, flowers, etc. and this what I came up with.

I was happy enough with how it turned out to send it to him for his wife.

SETS:  Chalk Talk

PAPERS:  Whispher White, Crisp Cantalope, Venetian Romance Delicate Doiles and Old Olive

INK: Crisp Cantalope, Calypso Coral and Blushing Bride

ACCESSORIES:  Sponge, Simply Pressed Clay/flower mold and Bird Builder Punch.

I hope enjoy this card as much I enjoyed making it for someone as special as my cousins wife is to him....

Congrates to them on their 4th anniversary!!!

Thanks for letting once again  for letting to keep Yappin' bout Stampin'

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!!

This is my Christmas in July card.... because I created the flag, and staff by hand. I used long retired Chrismas stamp sets..

Don't look too close at the flag.... as most of the it was hand designed and it was soooo difficult work out the stars....so if it is a waving flag the stars might be distorted... I am right?

SETS: Retired Christmas set.... Frosty and Snow Burst (pretty great for fireworks.... I think).

PAPER: Whispher White, Real Red and Retired Not-quite Navy

INKS: Real Red, Gel Pen and Whispher White ink pad

ACCESSORIES: Retired Gold Pen, Versamark, Brass Brad, Red Glitter Pen, Glittery Embossing Powder and Long ago retired Real Red Gingham Ribbon

Hope you all had a Happy 4th!!!

Let Freedrom Ring...and let me have the Freedom to ring out
"Loud and Clear" how upset I am about our neighbors illegal fireworks that have been going on since 5:30 and how they will have to wash the ash off my car even though the live a football field away... and yet they are continuing to set them at nearly 11:00 pm.

I know I am a grouchy Lisa!!!

Sorry...

Yappin' bout Stampin' this great SU! Special Announcement....

From Millan.Net

Lisa

Found Inspiration.... in a pillow design...yes once again :)

Before I start sharing the inspiration behind this card and the mixed media I used to create it....

I want you to know that as a SU! Demo I am one of their ultimate fans for the quality of their  paper, matching everything  and their ability to stay on top of all the color/innovation trends.... and that is why I strive to continue to be a demo.... abeit "hobby demo"

BUT ~~~ as the "wanna-be" artist since I can remember, that I did ultimately go to school for.... but is was never was in my future as a career.  How I got into what I am going being one, was never in the cards (pun intended) now is another story, but not worth telling as it is a huge ZZZZ fest  From Millan.Net.

I found this adorable pillow with a beachy Seahorse theme and kno I wanted to make a card with a similar design.

This is what I came up with.... I liked it :)

I hand drew the seahorse from looking at the downloadable PDF pattern in the website, fussy cut it out and used the surrounding paper as a template/stencil.  For the background I used the SU! bone folder to make "waves."

Set: Retired Word Set

Paper: is Pacific Point and Whispher White

Inks: Non-SU! Faber Castille Gelatos, the reason the for the intro to this post, is because I couldn't wait to try this new (to me) medium.

Accessories:  Dauber and non-SU! brads

I think I will make this card again in the future and have already matched the SU! colors I can use to for the same effect.
