Trying to get crafty outside of the "Stampin' Studio" by trying my hand at making a LIVING WREATH.

I have had the supplies for quite awhile, the wire wreath, moss and found a 8x8 block of succulents, but the weather hadn't been cooperating for me to get it done.

It wasn't as easy as I thought it would be, the moss wasn't really workable, but I think it turned out ok and hope it will look better when the plants fill in, I hope :)

And in true Portlandia style.... I put a bird on it!

I also added a few funky garden art  pieces to my yard like these Greyhound and Boxer Weather vanes.
Not a good  pic but Noodles had to get into the action.

And this fun bird.

Some yappin' about somthin' other than stampin' just for today.

This is a card from last weeks club, I hadn't given this set much notice as I just wasn't sure of what I would do with it. But, having already gotten the framelits, I knew I had better get this set because it was no known if it would make into the new catalog, which it did!

Sets:  Apothecary Art and Fabulous Phrases

Paper: Whisper White, Island Indigo, Ridinghood Red, Pretty in Pink and Twitterpatted DSP

Ink/Markers: Black Stazon, Lucky Limeade, Pretty in Pink

Accessories: Labels Collection Framelits, Baja Blue Pleated Satin Ribbon, Designer Printed Brads

I enjoyed how this card turned as well as my club members!

Thanks for Yappin' bout Stampin' with me :)

I am a bit, actually, really excited about the new Stampin' Up! catalog and luckily was able to order some preview sets like this one called Betty's Blossom and the DSP - Comfort Cafe and was thrilled to be able to get all the new In-colors paper, markers and especially the new foam pads.

The pads are so elegant and just a gentle tap puts enough ink on the stamp to give such even color.   All my club members were really impressed, as well as I was :)

This card was made with above papers Midnight Muse, Gumball Green and Whispher White and Riding Hood Red) inks and markers, but I also used:

Punches: 2 1/2 circle, itty bitty shapes punch pack, Bird Builder punch

Accessories: Basic Pearls. tape runner and dimensions

Thanks for Yappin' about Stampin' with me!

Wanted to go Steampunk, but it really wasn't :)

Again from the beach.  We had hope to go a little Steampunk with this card, but sure that can be catagorized as such.  Thought it turned out ok but with a different flare.

Sorry, but I will need to post the recipe for this card later as I can't find my notes, for shame (that is what happens when I procrastinate).

Yappin' about Stampin!

Hit Seaside a week a go Friday :)

The weather was absolutely beautiful, with a slight breeze that kept a small  refeshing chill in the air :)

Because the weather was soooo nice, my friend and didn't make many cards .... we walked around town after breakfast at Pig n' Pan on Saturday and a quick visit to the outlet mall.  Which was such  a surprise... that neither if us found nothing really to buy (except a paper towel rack for my condo).

I will share what we did get done here and in the next couple of posts:

Sets: The Open Sea, which is going to be a carry over into the new Catalog :) and Fabulous Phrases

Inks/markers: Not Quite Navy, Real Red

Paper: Night of Navy, Real Red, Well Worn DSP (one of my favorites, that is going away, boo hoo), Very Vanilla and Whispher White

Finally, a new post

Although, my last post was belated by nice weather and being so busy....

I had made a few cards and finally found a some time  to share them with you:

I have held back on posting the card as it one of the 3 sympathy cards I have made lately.  And I find myself feeling bad about posting something that is personal.

So, will not describe how I made the card, but can only hope you can gleen some ideas from this for a male sympathy card.
