Splatter Painted Peacock

As many of you may have read  ~~~  I am loving new Blendabilites alcohol markers and was really excited to try them out on this wonderful single stamp Perfect Peacock.

As I got to the last bit of coloring  this very intricate design one of the pens started "spitting" drops of ink on the paper.... argh.... what had I done wrong?   Did I put to much pressure that on the nib or did I hold it up right for too long so that ink welled in the nib and splattered when moved it away.... none of those options held up to may re-testing the pens.

So not really sure what the issue was but I went with the new "modern" concept and decided my frustration should be turned into something unexpected like the card below:

This card, in my opinion is too  crazy  busy with color. sequins and splatter but in the end I really liked how it turned out.  I hope you do to.

Butterflies Abound

I love this time of year when I can be stopped in my tracks by the sight of a beautiful butterfly graceful flitting around within my sight.   I actually saw my first Monarch butterfly last week.  Seeing Monarchs any more seem to be such a rare a sight, nothing as rare was a multi-colored Swallowtail.  

This stamp always intimated me a bit by its detailed design but I pulled it out and started coloring away.  I could use some more experience in the "fussy" cutting category!!!

I hope get an opportunity to have a Monarch butterfly within your sights soon!!!

Happy Double Nickel birthday (55) to my dearest, longest & best-est friend ever..... you know who you are!

I have been waiting quite a long time to post this card because I didn't want to spoil the surprise of a card in my friend's  mailbox.
Happy mail is always good, whether it is a hand made card, or store bought either way they trump the bills and the junk mail...

We have been friends through think and thin since we were teens... all of us gals know there is a different dynamic between our gal friends that doesn't diminish the love for our families....but actually it helps strengthen it!

Calling All Heroes!!! Especially Mustache Man ~~~~ My Personal favorite HERO!!!

I know, as well as anyone, that super heroes come and go for each of us depending on our age.

For me it was Batman and Robin, Agent 99 from Get Smart and the cartoon heroes of Under Dog, Dudley Do-right and even Scooby-Do.

For my kids the heroes were the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Power Ranges and some they will never admit to!

The hero I am naming in this post is my hubby must recently dubbed “MUSTACHE MAN” on his 54^th birthday.

Mustache man was created due to this new Stampin’ Up! Set ~~~Calling all heroes…that I to had to have with no purpose in mind.

Here all the details on this card.... but once again Blogger auto correct "Chalk Board" version 1, miss- spelled HEROES..... I should really make a complaint....

The Garden Corner or the Corner Garden????

Not that I don't know the name of this set (it is written below after all).
I do get confused about it as there is a Nursery down the street from me that is the Garden Corner, it really is on a corner too! I just take me a minute to figure out which  is which!
