I should have been posting some cards but ~~~

instead I have been obsessing over getting the header of the page to be the correct size and centered.... it has been driving me crazy From Millan.Netever since I upgraded to the new blogger a long, long time ago.

I am the same way with furnishings (ask my DH, as he has to help me move the furniture until the room is balanced) and I didn't realize it but I need to do the same with cards as well, not that balance is bad, but it seems it has to be to be a part of my creativity.

For example, check out this card, there is a great sense of balance that I needed to do before I completed it.

You can see the dets (coming soon) on my Steampunk page!

Unfortunately, no one will see this card in their mailbox, as I spilled water all over it and other card right after I took the pics, boo-hoo, I really liked it... Although I did salvage the wings, so we shall see what becomes of them.

Happy Stampin' Yappers!

Lisa

Better late than never is the saying, right?

Shamefully, for me it was true in regards to me getting this card sent off in time for Mother's Day to my Mom SFrom Millan.Net .

I made this card way in advance, but carried it around way too long and forget to get it mailed.

This card is nothing on how I invisioned it, NOT even close!  But, I like how it turned so clean  and simple and a heartfelt message to boot.

SETS: Betty's Blossoms and Amazing Family

INKS: Crushed Curry, Rich Razzelberry and Strawberry Slush

ACCESSORIES: Retired Bigz Die Scalloped Circles, 2 1/2" Circle Punch, Bird Builder Punch and random embellishments.

Thanks for letting do some Yappin' bout Stampin' again.

Doesn't it make you feel special when someone asks you to make them a card?

I know it does me, I especially love it From Millan.Net when it is my DH does!

It helps me validate that I have a good reason for "needing all my stamping paraphernalia!

A girls gotta be prepared for any situation, in my case anything stamping, LOL!  I must always be ready for any opportunity to stamp, hence a room just like a store!

DH had asked me for a card for a co-worker of his that had received a promotion... I got right on it, but gasp From Millan.Net I had to come up with a masculine card, those are the hardest to come up with for me anyway.

So let me share with you what I came up with:

I had ordered this set as soon as  I heard it was retiring and I had not gotten it before because I had enough leaf sets but this one was special.

SET: French Foliage and the new sentiments stamp set Express Yourself

PAPER: Very Vanilla, New Brown Sugar, Choc. Chip

INKS:  Crushed Curry, Pear Pizzazz, Soft Suede, Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight and Sahara Sand.

ACCESORIES: Linen Thread, Word Window and Modern Label punches

Hoping you stampers are keeping your stamping stash full for any requests that may come your way! If, not let me know I can help ;)

Thanks for Yappin' bout Stampin' with me!

With that being said, I decided I had better get some of the retiring sets out and use them.  What did I find?

The 2 sets I pulled out had not even seen any ink.... that is shameful, because it must mean I have too much stuff... and in reality it is very true....

I have been MIA for a bit....

Hi Yappin' Stampers and friends,

Hope you all had a great Mother's Day!  I sure did. I got beautiful flowers, a new chicken for my kitchen, and phone calls from loved ones.

I also had a wonderful time outside since the temps were finally cool enough in my backyard to get my small garden in, play with flowers and lots of dirt :)

To be honest, I am usually flying by the seat of my pants when I attempt to plant a vegetable garden.

So, it seemed appropriate that I would fall in love with this sweet little gnome who is apparently  flying by the seat of his pants for all gnome eternity or until I rescue him from my flower cart for hibernation during the winter.

Isn't he gnome-tastic???  I think so :)

Thanks for letting me do some Yappin' that is not about Stampin'

Fun Day!

A friend of my mine came over to stamp today and she brought me some of her ideas and the supplies to make them:

Here is the first installment, a wine card that was accompanied by, yes, a bottle of wine..... which we are saving for next time :)

I so enjoyed this card, with retired the Stampin' Up! retired Pale Plum, Rich Razzleberry  and many wonderful punches, and a fun stamp.... I loved it so much I made two!

Yappin' bout Stampin' with you.

Well, lookie, lookie I found more inspiration from the same Target Ad~~~

I guess "ripping" pieces of ads from the Sunday paper, pages from the never ending Crate and Barrel, and Potty Barn catalogs I get are paying off in the inspiration department!

I hope this inspires you as well :)

The colors were perfect for trying out the new color STONE SLAT, which is replacing River Rock and breaking out the Crushed Curry and the little used Tangarine Tango.

Sets: Build A Bloosom, Serene Silhouettes, and Inpirational Phrases
Paper: Basic Grey, Stone Slate, Crushed Curry and Whispher White
Ink: Basic Grey, Stone Slate, Crushed Curry and Stazon
Accessories:  Two-tone Basic Gray Ribbon, which was too wide because it would have covered up to much of image... I cut it lengthwise and frayed the fibers.  Basic pearls, versamark, and clear EP.

Just Yappin' bout Stampin!
